PHILADELPHIA, PA — September 21, 2023 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — In a monumental event that promises to shape the future of the City of Brotherly Love, Al Dia News will host a Two-Phase “Town Hall 2003: Public Conversation” featuring two distinguished nominees for the mayoral race.

First, Honorable Cherelle Parker, the Democratic Party's nominee, and Second, Honorable David Oh, the Republican Party's nominee, will discuss in each part of this Town Hall, their visions for the city's progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Cherelle Parker’s debate is scheduled for October 3, 2023, and David Oh’s debate’ date is TBD. This Two-Phase Town Hall will serve as a platform for Philadelphia residents to gain valuable insights into the mayoral candidates' policies, priorities, and plans for the city.

This event is a testament to the city's commitment to fostering open dialogue and civic engagement during a crucial juncture in its history. The “Two-Part” Town Hall will be held at Al Día Lounge located at 1835 Market Street, Suite 450, Philadelphia, PA.

One of the highlights of Town Hall 2023 is the groundbreaking candidacy of Honorable Cherelle Parker. If elected, she will make history as the first African American woman to hold the office of Mayor in Philadelphia, marking a significant milestone in the city's rich history.

Cherelle Parker is the First African American Woman to seek the 100th Mayoral term in Philadelphia. “It’s been a long road, and to see the tireless work of my campaign team, supporters, and family pay off is humbling. I’m looking forward to November and bringing our city together as its 100th mayor,” Parker wrote in a statement.

Cherelle Parker has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the city of Philadelphia throughout her career. As a prominent member of the City Council, she has worked tirelessly to address critical issues, including economic development, education, and public safety.

Her commitment to equity, social justice, and community empowerment has earned her the respect and support of many residents. Parker took a leap in resigning from City Council and announced her candidacy for Mayor of Philadelphia in September 2022.

After winning the primary Cherelle said: “I'm not going to be a candidate who's concerned about being politically correct. I'm always going to give you my authentic self no matter how much you paint some people even when I speak about myself as a third party.”

The Republican nominee, David Oh, is a seasoned public servant who brings a wealth of experience to the mayoral race. He has consistently advocated for fiscal responsibility, public safety, and government transparency. “This election for the next Mayor of Philadelphia is not about the identity of the candidates but rather the hope of the people,” Oh said.

The dialogue between these two candidates promises to be illuminating and instrumental in helping voters make informed decisions.

The “Two-Phase” Town Hall 2023 event will be open to the public, and attendees briefly will have the opportunity to pose questions to the candidate directly. This interactive forum is designed to encourage civic participation and promote informed decision-making as Philadelphia approaches a pivotal mayoral election.
